21 January – day #2, post-chemo

Things I’m grateful for:

1. My oncologist, Dr. Santiago. Gentle, patient, caring, but will definitely call you out for whining, as I found out yesterday. He gave me a straight-up pep talk that I think I really needed.

2. The sound of big green tree leaves rustling in the breeze and the way the late afternoon sun sparkles through them.

3. Sunlight on water.

4. BABY DUCKS!!!

So very, very sleepy today. My body must be putting forth all its strength to process and eliminate all the chemicals that have been dumped into it over the last week. Hopefully those nasty little mutant cancer cells are being flushed away as well. DIE, LITTLE F*CKERS, DIE!

Shit. I just lost an entire paragraph from this post and have no idea how to get it back. So damned annoying. Welp, it’s gonna be a short post because I don’t have have the patience to try to rewrite it. I know I mentioned that my appetite had improved, so that’s a step in the right direction.
